01 / The challenge

An aging machine with obsolete components supported a process essential to current customer volume and planned growth. The replacement needed to assemble collapsed bulk boxes, pallets and internal components while retaining manual operator tasks.

02 / The solution

TCSC integrated a robot with a custom vacuum gripper, a pallet dispenser and operator platforms. The system stages each assembly for manual work and advances after operator acknowledgement. Automated banders secure each container to its pallet in both directions. At final inspection, a flat belt allows access around the product; light curtains and area scanners inhibit motion while an operator is in the zone.

03 / The outcome

The machine is capable of a 30-second cycle and supports increased capacity with updated automation and safety systems. It combines robotic handling and automated banding with defined operator workstations.
